When Neva doesn't find what she's looking for, she finds a way to make it happen. She started her career as a writer, but found she had a real knack for building things. She dove headfirst into her own social enterprise for women, then tried her hand in Operations, helping grow a team of 35 to a thousand within one year.
From Operations, she became enamored with tech, obsessed with the belief that it was a force that could be used for good. She swooped into real estate, focusing on automation, and training alongside the Swoop Operations Managers to deliver the best customer experience in the industry.
But the one job Neva really wants to keep forever is being a lifelong learner, constantly seeking and testing ideas, and exchanging thoughts with a diverse group of experts in their fields. However, the jury’s still out whether she’ll ever learn to drive a whole month without getting into a traffic incident.
Chief Financial Officer
Les Blair doesn’t know when to stop. He’s the type that gets a double-major in Finance and Economics - then becomes a Fellow of the Association for Certified Accountants. The type who gets into the volatile business of oil and gas - then builds a company, and successfully takes it public. The type who grows a beard, and keeps it for a decade.
In fact, the only thing that Les couldn’t grow was his backyard hydroponics garden. Maybe that’s why he went into growing a different kind of real estate business - the kind that he aims to bring to success, with the same can’t-stop-won’t-stop attitude that his circa-1990s beard would be proud of.
Chief Technology Officer
There is digital and there is analog, and there is Anthony Scolaro, standing right at the interface. Having discovered early that his life’s work lay in people and computers, he wasted no time setting up a technical services company in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina; he was only 23.
A couple of years later, he left to start a second company, Project Assistant - still bridging people and computers, this time through online marketing and services. Now with a bigger team in the Philippines, he wields the twin digital weapons of web and mobile application development to bring people’s stories and services to life.
He brings this same Tech expertise to Swoop, once again standing at the interface - of real estate and the real power of mobile apps.
Chief Operations Officer
No matter which side of the globe Jez is on, you can be sure of one thing – he’s probably doing something related to real estate.
That’s what happens when you have a lifelong passion for people, cities, architecture and land use. Jez received his B.S from the University of Southern California specializing in Real Estate Development, and a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn).
His research at UPenn's Wharton School included housing finance policies and housing industry data collection from over 80 emerging economies for Wharton's Housing Finance Information Network.
Jez worked for Southern California's top brokerage houses including Keller Williams Beverly Hills and Re/Max North Orange County before serving as the national council coordinator for Urban Land Institute Philippines. He’s also worked on special real estate projects with the Rufino Group of Companies.
Currently, he consults for the World Bank and Asian Development Bank on housing and urban transport projects. Oh, and yes – he is a licensed real estate broker. If you think real estate is the only thing Jez spends time on, think again. He also happens to manage the Philippine Ski and Snowboard Federation, while supporting his family's construction firm, plus their ministry with Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary in Zamboanga City.
Ultimately, Jez is passionate about making a difference in the real estate and land use industry, helping people and empowering communities. With the latest developments in technology, he hopes to take Swoop's platform from Manila to the rest of the Philippines, and to other emerging markets.
What they don’t tell you about bringing home the bacon is that half the battle is knowing how to fry it properly, you have to listen to it sizzle to know when you’ve got the perfect crunch. Craig with over 20 years of experience in Southeast Asia understands the intricacies that make up the meat of the market.
He is currently the Managing Director and Co-CEO at Capital Advisors Partners Asia Pte. Ltd where he has originated, structured, and executed private equity deals for institutional investors. He has an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s Degree with Honors in Electronic Systems Engineering from University of York

Ciara is a people person – and it shows. With a ready smile and sunny personality, she makes anyone feel at ease, customers included. It’s her cheerful voice that greets clients with inquiries, and her kind words that patiently address issues or complaints.
But all of that is nothing compared to meeting her in person. A natural (and trained) dancer, she is the epitome of grace under pressure. She glides through multiple tasks, sashays her way through government offices and property listings, and has found her rhythm in the startup world. With a background in business administration, she handles backroom tasks in operations without missing a beat. But she shines best at the frontlines, in perfect sync with customers and partners.
At a startup, the spotlight may be on the founders or the engineers or designers. But as she manages the finances, Irish controls the proverbial power switch. Fresh from a degree in Accounting Technology, she does the daily, weekly and monthly nitty-gritty that the rest of the team is fully aware of but willfully choose to ignore. Always willing to work long hours, Irish is an invaluable member of the team.
G is from that rare breed of introverts who love to be around people, and talented IT graduates who don’t like to sit in front of a computer all day. But those are just about the only ironies in her personality. She’s consistently sunshiny and oh-so-efficient, making her a pro at keeping the Swoop office happy and running smoothly.
Hailing from ASpace before Swoop, G is a startup junkie who loves wearing many hats. She’s looking forward to bringing her unique skillset beyond her admin role – to marketing, event organizing, and anything else she can bring her signature sunshine to.
Head of Marketing
Monique’s got the startup cred, perfecting the art of multitasking in the dizzying pace of this innovative culture. Her passion for digital and traditional marketing and creative mind translates to results delivered even under pressure. She’s worked for Lazada, TV5 and startups based in Malaysia and Singapore. She plays like a startup veteran too --- traveling, surfing and being an expectant Momma keeps her human.
Head of Development Operations
Niño is Swoop’s gambit – a self-starter who happens to be in a startup. Most of what he knows, he taught himself – from computer programming in three languages and creating online games in 48 hours, to playing alternative music on the ukulele.
He brings his multiple skills to full use at Swoop, where he liaises with the development team to improve backend computer programs. He’s also the director of photoshoots, and in-house entertainer with killer hip-hop moves.
Project Assistant operates around combining the efficiency of technology with human creativity. This Digital Marketing, Web and Mobile App development agency is the brainchild of Swoop’s CTO Anthony Scolaro. The company was brought about by Anthony’s love for bridging people and computers. Project Assistant’s dedicated Swoop Team is doing just that, helping Swoop make a big impact on tech, on real estate, and on people.
The Swoop Team at Project Assistant is diverse, they are creative individuals who use technology to turn goals into accomplishments. Bry, Emman and Tim are the code warriors at the forefront of development. Designer Isaac fuses his eye for details and harmony to make Swoop stand out. Mobile App Developers Stephen and John who engineer Swoop’s mobile app to stay up to date and relevant with useful tech. Lastly, Project Manager Nana is the link between Swoop’s vision and Project Assistant’s commitment to make SWOOP a reality.
If It takes a village to raise a child, it takes a swoop-er team to nurture an app towards world domination. With their skills, Lorie, the back-end developer and Ian, the android developer are our pair of star developers.
